MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) – RECOM Company, which specializes in renewable sources of energy, will increase its capacity by investing in the production of photovoltaic modules in Belarus, BelTA learned from the company''s website.
A joint project is being implemented at a site located 2km away from the Minsk National Airport. The factory with the output capacity of 300MW in PV modules per annum will be commissioned in late October 2019.
According to RECOM CEO Hamlet Tunyan, the factory will utilize the latest technologies to make top-quality products. The project focuses mainly on European markets as well as markets of the USA and Asia.
According to the source, the factory will open up new opportunities for the development of solar energy industry in Belarus. "We believe this will contribute to the spread of the culture of renewable energy in Belarus too, diversify their energy mix, and of course, create jobs in the economy," Hamlet Tunyan is quoted as saying.
